Happy New Year!

To celebrate the new year, dad has set up his famous Fondu dinner in our new kitchen. With my parent's help, I get to cook my own food.

FREE Dinner from the King's

My dad  writes some very strongly worded letters when he is not happy with service.  At one of the first games of the hockey season he wrote a letter complaining about the new way they were making their pasta dinners (plain pasta with the sauce poured on top and no room to mix together).  Well his letter worked and we got a free meal at the restaurant in Staples. The director of Foodservices even came over to see us to make sure we enjoyed this free meal.  Got a lot of good food and my favorite - Shrimp!

Christmas Day

Finally, Christmas morning! When I woke up, I got everyone up so we could see what Santa brought.  My Christmas stocking was overflowing and I had a drawing board and spaceship left by the fireplace.  Santa even wrapped some gifts under the tree.  What a great day.

Practing my Floating Skills

I have gotten really good at floating in the bath tub.  My parents think I can do it in the big pool too. I may try iy soon.  For now it is just fun.

Santa said I am good!

I saw Santa tonight.  I gave him my list and he said I was good and will be getting everything on my list! I can't wait until Christmas Day.

Santa is coming to Glendale

Santa built a house in Glendale! I am not sure where he put his reindeer, but it seems he is not home right now so he can go feed them.  I told my parents that I would like to meet Santa this year, so we will come back another day.

Me & My Cousins

Some fun shots of me and my cousins on an afternoon walk. We stop at each bench on the trail by the ocean. I can make almost the full 2mile loop on my own ( but it is nice to hitch a ride on someone's back).

Bike Riding

Since mom & dad packed thier bikes for our Thanksgiving holiday, I made sure they packed mine too. I typically have driven 3-wheelers, but my cousins gave me their 2-wheeler (with training wheels of course). For my first real bike ride I did GREAT, although a slight down hill did make it easier. Soon I will have it mastered.
BTW...thanks mom for the extra pushing. I hope your back did not get too sore.

Holiday crafts

Gingerbread man and Christmas tree decorating time! I got to do them all by myself this year.

Treasure Hunts

Time for my turn to geocache. We went high up into the hills. It was a long hike. Once we found the treasure mom & dad said I could only take 1 item. I don't get it...there were plenty of things in the box, why could I only have 1? After a lot of chasing and tear, I took 2 treasures home. Plus I got a free ride home on uncle dan's shoulder.

Thanksgiving Day

Another holiday with family. Uncle Dan made his famous brined turkey and stuffing, mommy made papa Gary's fresh cranberry sauce and grandma Beth did many of the side dishes. I think since my daddy does not cook much, he was put in charge of playing games with me and my cousins. I guess that is what he does best.

Ipad introduction

The nice part about having older cousins is that I get to see some fun toys that they are playing with so I can ask my parents for the same. Zoey and Sam had a small computer, that could play movies, games and books. I used their IPad as often as I could and mastered it in no time. Monster at the end of the book (as told by Grover) and Cookie Doodle are my favorites.

Tide Pool Fun

Today we explored the tide pools by the house.  We found star fish, hermit crabs and regular crabs everywhere.  My favorite was wading in the water to find big rocks to throw and make a big splash.  My fun ended when I became the big spalsh.

Cambria 2011

I got a special treat this year for Thanksgiving... my Aunt Veronica, Uncle Dave and cousin Danielle came to CA for a visit and got to join us in Cambria. They joined us in playing games, being silly, exploring the tide pools and hikes. I wish they could have stayed longer, but I had more adventures with my cousins Ellie, Zoey, Sam and Aunt Leeann and Uncle Dan.

I can dress myself

I have recently mastered being able to change my clothes all by myself. Since the days are cooler, I have learned how to pull my long sleeves to change my shirt. I go through at least 3 outfits a day. If it is the weekend, it could be more since I change into my jamas (and another pair of clean underpants) for nap time and then a new set of clothes after my nap. Mom had to buy me more pant and underpants to keep up with my new trend.

Halloween 2011 - Cowboy & Indians

I hurried to eat my dinner so I could get my costume on and head out. Dad even joined in the fun and wore a costume too. It was good to have mom & dad with me so they could carry my candy once it got heavy. I finally got to get up close to say hi to Mickey, Pooh and Tigger. Dad drove by them every night for me. Can't wait to eat the chocolate.

Halloween School Parade

We also do a halloween parade. Papa, grandma Halen, grandma Beth and daddy watched me walk with my class. Since mommy dressed up too, she walked with me in th parade.

Halloween Parties

At school we have a lot of activities to celebrate halloween. We painted pumpkins, ate cookies and carved pumpkins too (ok parents carved pumpkins). Mom came to school and did a scary spider on a pumpkin.

We also got to go Trick-or-Treating on the ice with Bailey after the King's game. Happy to have some early treats to eat now.

One little Indian boy...

Grandma Halen finished making my costume. I was not very excited to put it on because last time it still had pins that poked me. Now it is safe to wear and I have a drum and bow & arrows . Can't wait to go trick or treating.

Pumpkin Patch

It is getting close to Halloween and finally I get to pick out my pumpkin. Dad said I can have any pumpkin I want as long as I can carry it. I don't think Dad realizes how strong I am. I got a big pumpkin!
