All I want for Christmas... is a bow

This Christmas thing is a lot of fun. I know there were a lot of presents (Thank you everyone for my gifts) but my favorite thing was the fluffy bow on top of the gift. I tried them all, red, green, blue...but they did not taste any different.

I want that one!

That's what I told Mom & Dad when we went Christmas tree hunting. I have found that I look cute when I ask, so I usually get my way. Here is our tree before we took it home.

10 Months - Go Lakers

I celebrated my 10 month birthday at a Laker's game. Basketball seems fun running up and down with that orange thing that you throw. I think I have now hit all the key sports in LA...Hockey, Baseball and Basketball. Although I sit in regular seats close to the glass for hockey, I definitely like watching from a suite sometimes so I can stretch out, crawl around and meet some of mommy and daddy's friends

I am Thankful for...

The wonderful and fun family I have. For my 1st Thanksgiving I spent it with the Borton family in Cambria. Every morning a walk by the ocean, every afternoon games with my little cousins. My big cousins Jessica and Ellie could only stay through dinner but at least I got some time with them. Grandma & Grandpa Ver Halen joined the fun too. .

Stair Master

I have conquered Stairs. I mastered the climb up and can make it back down. Here I am showing my skills at the Heaven's Cloud room at the Madonna Inn. Dad had a great idea to stay there as we drove up the coast for Thanksgiving. We went on a great hike the next day to get a view of the SLO Valley.

9 months

Now that I am getting older I am into much more grown up activites (I am almost a toddler now). We have transformed my gym into a tunnel and I removed all the kiddie hanging toys and play with them like a big kid. I pull myself up to the table, and according to Grandma Ver Halen, I can clear a table faster than anyone she knows. I also play a great game of Peek-A-Boo.

Trick or Treat

Have you heard of this great thing called Trick-or-Teating? When you go to your neighbors houses, they give you candy! Now that I know what it is, I need a bigger bag than my pumpkin hat for next year.

Pimp My Ride

Check out my new ride as I cruise the park!

Hiking in the local mountains

I live in a place that has small and large mountains all around. Dad & mom thought it would be a good idea to get out and start exploring more of them. Dad picked a trail that was wide enough for me to be comfortable in the stroller. Thank goodness my stroller has shock absorbers because it was bumpy over rocks. We did not quite make it to the top (short by 1/2 mile) but we did just over 4 miles total. Grandma Beth made most of it too. I was still able to manage a nap on our way down when the picture was taken.

Halloween Costumes

Hoot Hoot!
For my 1st Halloween, I have not 1 but 2 costumes! Mommy bought my monkey costume to keep me warm treat-or-treating. Grandma Ver Halen got an idea from auntie Lori to make me an Owl costume. I think I have this picture taking thing down. I like looking at pictures of myself.

Napa Weekend

The whole family took a trip to Napa for a wedding. We went for tours of the Jelly Belly factory, Budweiser bottling and olive oil tasting. Dad has to be a show-off at the Bud factory when he got to talk with crew that maintains the brewing tanks. Mom and dad got samples everywhere we went. What did I get - MILK! I just was not fair. It all looked so good.

The day after the wedding, Eric & Nicole had a BBQ to finish off the weekend. We went to the Pumpkin patch to go through the corn maze. Unfortuantely it had rained too much eariler in the week and my stroller wheels just collected mud. At least my feet did not get diry like mom and dads.

Trapped at 8 months

The older I get and more mobile I become, my parents seem to feel the need to trap me behind bars. This makes it hard for me to get to some of the fun stuff.

I weight over 18lbs and have 6 teeth. My teeth do a great job of ripping chunks of paper off and chomping on anything I can get my hands on.

Go Kings!

I went to my first Kings game in Las Vegas, and got to meet my great uncle Brent. Check out the picture he sent me from his phone. I've never seen so many people in one place before!

I'm a swinger now

Mom and dad put me in some contraption, pushed me and let me go all by myself. I am not sure that I really like the swings, but i am willing to give them another try.

Stroller? I don't need no stinkin' stroller!

To celebrate my seven month birthday, I decided to show off my new found crawling skills. No longer am I bound to my blanket! Granted, I'm not going to bother crawling to just anything--it needs to peak my interest, and be something I haven't been allowed to play with yet--for instance, when Dad left the video camera on the floor, I couldn't get there fast enough--the red light intrigued me!

Still working on the overall form however--Dad says I look like I've been shot, and am crawling for the phone to call 911. Probably a result of only using my right hand, left elbow, and one leg. But hey, freedom is freedom, and Mom and Dad leave a lot of cool stuff laying around....

7 Months

I celebrated my 7 month birthday with a pool party. Today was the first day I got to try out the new pool my parent got me. The "fountains" were a lot of fun, but kept squirting me in the face and mouth once I took my hands off the top of them. It was a lot of fun!

A King's Day

Dad, mom and I had a full day at Hockey Fest. We met several King's players and got their autographs. I even have my own jersey that I got signed. Here we are with hockey legend Kelly Hrudey. I am still not sure what Hockey is since I have not been to a game.

A Master at Work

Here is another art piece for mom and dad to display. First Miss Allison, my teacher, started with blue and then orange and green. I waved my hands across the paper carefully smearing to make my design. My hands were so tempting with all that color that I had to check it out further. I tasted the paint... it gave me such shivers that I ended up rubbing it all over my face.

Never separate a man and his biscuit

My parents tried something new this morning. For some reason mom striped me down to my diaper before I could have it. My first teething biscuit was great. Finally I can feed myself without any help.
